Journey through time in the Jordan Valley, where powerful cities once stood at the crossroads of empires. This tour explores two extraordinary sites — Beit She’an, one of the most spectacular archaeological parks in Israel, and the Crusader fortress of Kochav HaYarden (Belvoir Castle) overlooking the valley below.

We begin in Beit She’an, a city of grandeur and beauty whose history spans over 5,000 years. Excavations reveal layers from Egyptian, Canaanite, and Israelite periods, culminating in the magnificent Roman-Byzantine city of Scythopolis. Here we walk along colonnaded streets, admire ancient mosaics, theaters, and bathhouses, and imagine the life of a thriving Roman metropolis.

From there, we ascend to Kochav HaYarden National Park (Belvoir Castle), a remarkably preserved Crusader fortress strategically perched above the Jordan Valley. Its towers, moats, and commanding views illustrate the might of medieval architecture and the struggles that shaped the region’s history.

This tour combines archaeology, breathtaking landscapes, and layers of civilization, bringing to life the drama of empires, faiths, and fortresses that defined the Lower Galilee and Jordan Valley.
